Occupation: Social Worker

Contact number: 0433 146 156

A little bit about self:

I’ve been playing netball at Olinda for over 10 years. I met my wonderful husband, Tom, at Olinda and we welcomed our little Kiah in 2023. Outside of netball and family life, I love being social and spending time with my horse.

What OFCFNC means to me:

Olinda means so much to me. I wouldn’t have my wonderful family if it wasn’t for this beautiful community.

Jake Hederics

Position at the club: Head Coach (Netball)

Occupation: Teacher

Contact number: 0427 535 225

A little bit about self:

A Netball nerd and lover of the game. Grew up in rural Victoria around a local Footy Netball Club and have always competed in sport and enjoyed school. Aside from Coaching at Olinda, I currently am a Teacher, Victorian Open Men’s Netball player (defender) and National Champion.

What OFCFNC means to me:

I started in my position at Olinda at the beginning of 2024. This is my first head coaching role and although I’m reasonably new to the Olinda community I’ve adored every moment. I’m committed to fostering a fun, supportive and competitive Netball program at Olinda as we enter a new era at the Club.

I try my best to maintain an open mindset as I develop my coaching experience and hope my athletes find joy, friendships and passion in Netball as I have.

John Portarianos

A little bit about self:

We’re proud parents of six and grandparents to eight. We run our own business, and in our free time, we love traveling in our caravan. Exploring new places and making memories with our family is something we truly cherish. Whether it’s a quick getaway or a long road trip, every adventure brings something exciting.

What OFCFNC means to me:

It feels like we’re returning to where we truly belong, no longer just spectators but active participants in the club. There’s a sense of pride, excitement, and connection as we embrace this opportunity to grow and contribute to something that truly feels like home.
