Those around the club know that this honour is richly deserved and far from surprising. The time and effort Carey puts into maintaining order, keeping us fed, and delivering a worthwhile spray where necessary is what keeps Olinda thriving.
“Carey works tirelessly week in week out for both the Junior & Senior Club. Her blood runs red and white – she epitomises what a volunteer is about.
She does her utmost to ensure the canteen runs smoothly at every home game – early start, late finish. She puts her hand up to help with whatever is needed and is a woman of many hats – she’s Club Secretary, Canteen Manager, the organiser of fundraising activities, does all the shopping for food for Thursday night meals, cooks Thursday night meals and more!”
